2008 Campanella Instrument Prices
F-model: $6500
Violin: $6000
Due (2 point): $5000
A-model: $3500
At my current prices I outfit my mandolins with Schaller tuners (Waverleys are available and are highly recommended +$500). Other fittings include an engraved James tailpiece, floating ebony pickguard, Cumberland Acoustic bridge and Bobelock case. Violins are provided with high quality ebony or boxwood fittings, a fine Despiau bridge and a Bobelock case. All of the instruments are finished with a hand brushed and rubbed oil or spirit varnish.
I have found these fittings to best complement the function, protection and style of my instruments with no upgrades needed. A Calton case is the only upgrade one might consider, but I have travelled extensively with the Bobelock, including internationally. They protect the instrument well, are reasonable in weight, always fit in overhead on planes, and have plenty of storage for a few books, some music or whatever, plus you can add backpack straps.
I generally work on 1-3 instruments at any point in time, using many traditional tools and methods, and my current wait on new orders is around six months.
I usually ask for a deposit of $1000 which gets the process started more deeply as far as any custom needs and a tenative delivery date. In the ordering process, I like to find out more about your specific musical style and tonal requirements. Then I choose wood, bracing styles and other details related to sound based on that discussion and process.
All instruments are warranted for life to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. My highest priority is meeting and exceeding the musical needs of my clients with honesty and integrity of my process and product. Please contact me with any questions or comments.
