2015 A-5 Mandolin:  This has been my personal mandolin for the last few months:  It is constructed with a Red Spruce top and Vermont Sugar Maple back, neck and sides, with tone bar bracing.  It is loud enough to cut through any jam, very responsive under the pick, with a wide dynamic range and tonal palette.  The A-5 is a personal favorite model of mine for the musical capacity of a simple design, and this instrument will outperform many fancier (and more expensive) mandolins. Features:  Waverly tuners in gold with ebony knobs, ebony pickquard, Jescar "EVO" gold frets (long wearing copper alloy), cast Allen tailpiece, Macassar ebony headstock veneer, Bobelock case. The amber-resin oil varnish has been tastefully antiqued for a classic look on this timeless design.  $5300 includes USPS Express (overnight) shipping in the continental U.S.
